Shining Through Strength: My Journey & Gehna Boutique’s Commitment to Survivors

Jewellery has always been more than just an accessory to me. It is a reflection of strength, beauty, and resilience. For years, I struggled with personal trauma—an experience that left deep emotional scars. As a survivor of personal abuse, my journey to healing has been long and challenging, but through it, I discovered something that helped me regain my confidence: jewellery.

When I wore a beautiful piece, whether it was a delicate necklace or an elegant pair of earrings, I felt empowered. It was like an unspoken statement to myself that I was worthy, strong, and deserving of beauty in my life. Each gemstone, each crafted detail, became a symbol of my resilience. This love for jewellery is what inspired me to be part of Gehna Boutique—a brand that represents elegance, confidence, and empowerment.

During my healing journey, I was fortunate enough to receive support from Living Without Abuse (LWA). At a time when I felt lost and broken, they provided me with the resources, guidance, and emotional support I so desperately needed. Through their help, I found my voice again and slowly started to rebuild my life. For the first time in a long while, I felt as though my life had meaning, and I was more than just my past traumas—I was a survivor with a future.

This March, in honor of International Women’s Month, Gehna Boutique is standing in solidarity with survivors. We are proud to announce that 50% of all profits from our sales will be donated to Living Without Abuse (LWA)—a charity dedicated to supporting those affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland.

LWA provides essential help to individuals in desperate situations, offering not just emotional support but also practical aid to rebuild lives. Having walked my own path of healing, I know firsthand how crucial it is to have resources and a network of support. That’s why this initiative is deeply personal to me.

Every time you purchase a piece from Gehna Boutique, you are not just adding something exquisite to your collection—you are also making a difference. You are contributing to the safety, healing, and empowerment of survivors, just as I once needed support to rebuild my own confidence.

Let’s use the power of beauty to make an impact. Shop with us this March and be part of a movement that helps survivors shine again—just like the jewellery that adorns them.

With strength and gratitude,

Anjali Passi
